Detail Settings

In the Detail Settings tile, you can configure the detail settings for a program version.

Prerequisites

To view the page, you must have Academics - Configuration - View authorization.

To edit the page, you must have Academics - Configuration - Manage authorization.

If you want to enable the approved transfer credit restrictions configuration, your institution must have configured Allow Approved Transfer Credit RestrictionsClosed Select Yes to enable Allow Approved Transfer Credit Restrictions in program versions and areas of study. in the Advanced Features page (Select the Settings tile > expand System > select Advanced Features.)

Access Method

Select the Configuration tile > expand Academic Records > select Programs > select the name of the program > select the New button and specify the general information or select an existing program version. 

Procedure to Add or Edit Items

  1. Select the Detail Settings tile.

  2. In Externship, review, specify, or change the following values.

    Expected Credits Per TermClosed The total number of credits that the student is expected to complete per term.

    Expected Hours Per Week for ExternshipClosed The number of hours per week that the student is expected to complete in the training or externship. The number of hours specified must be less than the Total Hours for Externship.

    Required Externship Start DateClosed The start date of the externship, if the program version is configured to require an external start date.

    Total Credits for ExternshipClosed The total credits for an externship.

    Total Hours for ExternshipClosed The total hours for an externship. The value must be greater than the 'Expected Hours per Week for Externship'.

  3. In Distance Education, review, specify, or change the following values.

    Days Between LessonsClosed The minimum days between lessons.

    Maximum Course ExtensionsClosed The maximum number of course extensions that a student can take.

    Total LessonsClosed The total number of lessons associated with this program version. This optional field is related to distance education programs and is used in revenue calculations.

  4. In Program Version Options, review, specify, or change the following values.

    Area of StudyClosed Select Area of Study Required to specify that students cannot graduate from the program version unless an area of study is declared. Select None to specify that students can graduate from the program version without declaring an area of study. Select Undeclared to specify that students are not required to declare an area of study.

    Attendance RequiredClosed Indicates whether the attendance is required by an external entity.

    California STRF Residency ProgramClosed Select Yes if you want the California STRF process to recognize students who are enrolled in a California residency program and allow them to be charged a California STRF fee even if those students do not have a California address. The default setting is No.

    English Proficiency RequiredClosed Indicates that an international student is required to submit test scores as proof of English proficiency.

    Misc 1-4Closed Optional fields that your institution can use to collect additional information for the program version.

    NoteClosed Area that displays, or that you can use, to specify comments or additional information.

    Reason for English Proficiency Not RequiredClosed The reason the English language proficiency is not a requirement for the program version. This is a SEVIS requirement.

    Weighted GPAClosed Indicates if the GPA calculation is weighted or unweighted. Weighted uses the sum of quality points divided by credits attempted. Unweighted uses the sum of the grade points divided by the count of courses taken.

  5. In Approved Transfer Credit Restrictions, review, specify, or change the following values.

    Enrollment Transfer Credits MaxClosed Specifies the maximum number of enrollment transfer credits approved.

    Program Version Transfer Credits MaxClosed Specifies the maximum number of credits approved for program version transfer.

  6. In the grid, take the appropriate action.

    To add or edit approved transfer credit:

    1. If you want to:

      • Add a new list item, select the Add button. Anthology Student adds a new row in the list.

      • Edit a list item, select the field in the list. You can change the values in the highlighted cells.

    2. Specify or change the following values.

      Max Approved Credits/HoursClosed Specifies the maximum number of credits/hours approved for the selected transfer type for the program version. The value you specify here must be less than or equal to value specified in Program Version Transfer Credits/Hours Max field.

      OrderClosed Indicates the order or priority of each approved transfer credit.

      Transfer TypeClosed The type of transfer. The types of transfer are configured by your institution.

    To remove approved transfer credit:

    1. Select the check box for the record in the list.

    2. Select the Remove button.

  1. If you want to save and: 

    • Continue making changes, select the Save button

    • Close, select the Save & Close button
